Hey neighbor 👋
Three things to put on your radar this week.
The Firewild gift card giveaway closes Sunday, June 7 at 9:00pm | this is your last weekend to enter, and you can do it right from the Summer Social Lounge on Main Street in Elgin.
The Bastrop Public Library is having one of its biggest weeks of the summer, capped by a Saturday afternoon where you can play 1830s frontier games and meet a fashion historian.
We have a monthly winner for our referral drawing! She referred 5 friends to the newsletter in May! I’ll introduce you to her on MONDAY, but will you be June’s Winner?
✨ This month’s local gift card is a $40 gift card to Numero 28.
Referrals accumulate, so if you have 3 now and get 2 more this month, you’re in the drawing.
Your personal referral link is at the bottom of every email.
Let’s grow Bastrop together.
If you only do one thing this week, enter the Firewild giveaway (details below). If you can do two, take the kids to the library Saturday for History Games. If you can do three, bring your lunch to the library Wednesday and sit in on the Historical Society's Lunch & Learn about the men who signed the Declaration of Independence. If you can do four, refer your friends to our newsletter via your link at the bottom of this email!
Let's get into it. 🗓️
📣 NEW | Join the Bastrop Current Community Group on Facebook
We just opened a Bastrop Current community group on Facebook, and you're invited. It's a place for neighbors to share local events directly, post what's happening around Bastrop County, ask for recommendations, and help each other stay in the know between Thursday issues. Got an event we should cover? Drop it in the group and it might land in next week's newsletter.
Come introduce yourself, and bring a neighbor.
